How long does freight and delivery take?

We offer fast delivery nationwide. You can expect same-day delivery or pick-up for Auckland orders, next-day delivery for the rest of the North Island, and two-day delivery for the South Island.

Are screws included with the IBP Brick Ties?

Screws are included with the ties.

Are your products tested and certified to the NZ Building Code?

Absolutely. Our IBP Brick Ties are rated Earthquake Heavy in accordance with AS/NZS 2699.1:2000. The Mortar Lok system has also undergone independent testing to confirm equivalent structural performance. Both products have official Product Assurance Supplier Statements (pass™) available for download on our Technical Resources page.

Which material should I choose: Galvanized or Stainless Steel?

If your building is located in exposure zone D or E (such as coastal areas or corrosive environments), or where microclimatic conditions apply, you must specify and use our Stainless Steel products to comply with the NZ Building Code. For other standard environments, our heavy-duty hot-dipped Galvanized products are highly suitable.

How do I get trade or wholesale pricing?

We offer competitive trade pricing for our wholesale customers! While standard retail pricing is listed on the website, you can apply for an account using the "On Account / Wholesale" application form on our site to access your trade rates.

Who is Innovative Building Products (IBP)?

We are New Zealand's Brick Tie Specialists. We have been engineering and manufacturing high-quality brick ties and masonry reinforcement systems right here in New Zealand for over 20 years.

Do you sell to the general public, or just to the trade?

Both! Anyone can purchase our products directly through our website. However, if you are a builder, bricklayer, or regular trade buyer, we highly recommend filling out our Account Application form to access exclusive wholesale and trade pricing.

Where are you located? Can I pick up my order?

We are based at 44B Andromeda Crescent, East Tamaki, Auckland. Yes, we offer same-day pick-up for local Auckland customers, if 1 hour notice is given. As well as fast dispatch for our nationwide delivery network.

What sizes do the IBP Brick Ties come in, and how do I know which one to use?

Our Brick Ties are available in standard 90 mm and 115 mm lengths. You should select the correct length based on your specific cavity width and veneer thickness. As a rule of thumb, the tie needs to reach at least halfway across the width of the brick and not closer than 15mm to the front face.

What are the notches and angles on the ties for?

IBP Ltd brick ties are manufactured with a built-in 15° fall that sheds moisture from the framing toward the veneer. The profile is also designed so the tie does not kick up and obstruct the next brick being laid and mortared over it.
